De regels zijn vrij eenvoudig, en zelfs als het je eerste keer is dat je speelt, zul je de basis binnen de kortste keren onder de knie krijgen en van het spel genieten met je teamgenoten, ongeacht het vaardigheidsniveau van iedereen.

De lichaamsvorm is niet van invloed op het succes van deelname; en touch voorziet in de fitness- en sociale behoeften van jong tot oud.

Aanraking is ook een aanvulling op veel andere sporten, omdat veel van de vaardigheden die in aanraking zijn geleerd, overdraagbaar zijn.

De sport begon in de jaren zestig, voordat hij zich over de hele wereld verspreidde en in 1985 werd de Federation of International Touch (FIT) gevormd. FIT, dat nu meer dan 50 lidstaten heeft, beheert en bepaalt de regels, het beleid en de procedures van de sport en coördineert grote toernooien.

De European Federation of Touch (EFT), opgericht in 2011, is de regionale instantie die toezicht houdt op touch in Europa. EFT heeft meer dan 18 landen met meer dan 5.000 spelers en 300 geregistreerde scheidsrechters in heel Europa.

Touch Nederland is de erkende National Touch Association van het land en coördineert de nationale touch-activiteiten en is tevens de officiële nationale vertegenwoordiging binnen EFT en FIT. Den Haag Touch is een volwaardig en medeoprichter van Touch Nederland.

The rules are quite simple, and even if it’s your first time playing, you will pick up the basics in no time and enjoy the game with your teammates, no matter what everyone’s skill level is.

Body shape plays no bearing on the success of participation; and, touch caters for the fitness and social needs from the young to the old.

Touch also complements many other sports, as many of the skills learnt in touch are transferable.

The sport started out in the 1960’s before spreading across the world and in 1985, the Federation of International Touch (FIT) was formed. FIT, which now has more than 50 member countries, manages and determines the sport’s rules, policies, procedures and coordinates major tournaments.

The European Federation of Touch (EFT), formed in 2011, is the regional body overseeing touch in Europe. EFT has more than 18 members countries with over 5.000 players and 300 referees registered across Europe.

Touch Nederland is the country’s recognised National Touch Association and coordinates national touch activities as well as being the official national representative body within EFT and FIT. Den Haag Touch is a full and founding member of Touch Nederland.
